Virtual Tape Measure: A Body Scanning Device For Online Clothes Shopping
Many people have had their share of bad experiences when it comes to shopping for clothes online. This is for the reason that the medium size they have ordered seemed large or small for them to fit in. Well, I got good news for you! There's a new body scanning device that has been developed (and it still is) that will act as a virtual tape measure to get your full body measurement for online clothes shopping.
According to Reuters,
"The new system builds up a detailed image of body measurements, making it much easier for the shopper to order the correct size for their body dimensions."
The London College of Fashion, video imaging researchers at the University of Surrey and the Bodymetrics company has been working on developing this new technology.
For the virtual tape measure/body scanner to calculate your body measurement, you need to input your height then it will take your full-length photo via webcam. From there, a 3D image will be formed from your body measurement's outcome syndicated with your overall proportions.
I bet online shoppers will gladly welcome this new body scanning device with open arms!
