This year, tablet devices continue to eat up notebook sales. Figures have been projected that in 2013, tablet will overtake notebook by the numbers. 

The popularity of tablets has greatly increased that according to Digitime research,

"tablet shipments are expected to hit 210 million units by 2013 -- a 38.3 percent increase on this year's figures"

In addition, predictions show that this year's increase of Android tablets from Google, Samsung, Amazon, and other unbranded manufacturers will continue to cannibalize Apple's sales. Also, the rising demand for unbranded tablets will make Android outshine Apple's iOS as the tablet world's leading operating system in years to come.
